Brief
St John’s College Durham contracted Savana Environmental with the removal of carpet and asbestos tiles underneath, allowing for the safe laying of new carpet.
Services
The project required the pre-cleaning of the affected areas, the erection of a respirator zone and the removal of existing carpets, before the asbestos floor tiles and bitumen adhesive could be removed using hand tools and a 100v floor grinder.
Outcome
All asbestos was safely removed and disposed of, allowing the college to lay new carpet safely and promptly.
